When frustrations over Congressional shutdown came to a head in the fall of 2013, Starbucks decided to rally people to do something. Tens of thousands of signatures were gathered in stores across the country, and then baristas hand delivered the whole lot of them to congressional offices on Capitol Hill. These print ads ran at the beginning and close of the initiative.
